The Senate Committee on Ways and Means (WAM) informational briefing on Monday October 11, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. will be broadcast live on Oahu on Channel 54 (VIEWS) and live to the Neighbor Islands via HITS.  Rebroadcast times and dates will be announced when the information becomes available.

Agenda:
The purpose(s) of this informational briefing is to obtain information from the state department of transportation on the following matters:

1)       Maui Airport concerns;

2)       Kauai Airport concerns;
          a.       P-card, lawsuits;

3)       The travel documents and gifts received by airport employees re: Masters golf
           tournament and the Department's interpretation of the alleged travel irregularities;

4)       Ualena St. property follow-up;

5)       89 day hires;

6)       Information on the Department's handling of complaints made to taxi management offices on the neighbor islands, as         well as clarification of other taxi issues at Honolulu International Airport;

7)       Other outstanding issues from previous hearings.

Agenda:

The purpose of this informational briefing is to provide an update on Act 191.  Act 191 appropriated moneys from the emergency and budget reserve fund to maintain levels of programs for education, human services, and health. This Act went into effect on July 1, 2010.

The following have been invited to provide a status update on Act 191:
